Rochelle Martel, Chief Financial Officer for HemaCare Corporation, brings over 18 years of financial experience in healthcare senior management to the company. Ms. Martel was most recently with Prospect Medical Holdings in Los Angeles as Vice President of Finance and Operations for 7 Southern California hospitals and prior to that with Kindred Healthcare as Chief Financial Officer for 13 hospitals in California. From 1994 to 2002, Ms. Martel held successive roles at Syncor International Corporation (acquired by Cardinal Health), first as Corporate Controller for 4 years and then Chief Financial Officer for five years with their wholly owned subsidiary Comprehensive Medical Imaging (CMI). Prior to Syncor International, Ms. Martel was an Audit Manager for KPMG, focusing on healthcare and technology industries from 1989 to 1994. She is a certified Public Accountant.
Ms. Martel has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Accounting from California State University, Northridge and an MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School. Ms. Martel has also served as an adjunct Professor at Pepperdine University and California Lutheran University, teaching graduate and undergraduate studies in Financial Management and Auditing.
