Maria Pia Gross
Maria Pia Gross, General Manager of HemaCare Corporation, has worked at the company since 2003 and has held several leadership roles in the organization. Previously, she served as the Executive Director of Operations, where her objective is to develop, manage, and create a highly efficient and productive operations team. From 2011 to 2013, Ms. Gross was Director of Program Development for the Van Nuys donor room to increase its efficiency and effectiveness. Within 3 months, the business increased by 50%. Her proven track record demonstrates her ability to combine her recruitment and sales expertise to the operational business at HemaCare. From 2003 to 2011, Ms. Gross managed the donor centers for USC University Hospital. During this time, she developed the business by maintaining a small staff of highly cross-trained personnel consistently exceeding ever increasing profit goals every year. Ms. Gross was previously employed by Georgetown University (2001-2003) and worked with National Marrow Donor Program as a Senior Donor Services Coordinator for the Department of Defense Bone Marrow Program.
Ms. Gross received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and History from Loyola University, New Orleans, and her Master’s degree in Public Administration from California State University, Los Angeles.
