James G. Wolf, CFA


James Wolf has been a Director of the company since 2015, following his retirement from Ernst & Young, LLP after nearly 30 years as a Principal/Senior leader in EY’s Transaction Advisory Services  – Valuation, Modeling and Economic practice. Mr. Wolf served in various client service and leadership capacities in which he advised senior executives and boards on matters related to valuations and shareholder issues for transactions, strategic alternatives, financial reporting, tax, litigation, and regulatory matters. Mr. Wolf’s experience ranges from entrepreneurial enterprises to Fortune 100 companies, including many global transactions and privatizations. His sector experience includes a lifetime of specialty in financial services, especially insurance and asset management, and experience in the technology, energy and chemicals, infrastructure projects, consumer/industrial, automotive, and business services sectors.

Over his career at EY, Mr. Wolf led EY’s Fairness Opinion Practice and was COO of the Valuation, Modeling and Economics practice; Managing Partner for EY’s Center for Strategic Transactions; and TAS Valuation Market Leader for numerous regions/areas. He was also a founding leader or a member of numerous committees, including EY’s Global Valuation Steering Committee, Equity Risk Premium Committee, and Special Committee for Promotion of Women to Partnership within EY.

Mr. Wolf currently chairs HemaCare’s compensation committee and has been a prior chair of our audit committee. He is also a Director of Emergent Capital, Inc. (OTCQX: EMGC) and is a member of their audit committee. Mr. Wolf received a B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin. He holds the CFA designation.
